J-BAAW  One of Japan's oldest and largest national daily newspapers, the Asahi Shimbun began publication in Osaka on January 25, 1879 as a small-print, four-page illustrated paper that sold for one sen (a hundredth of a yen) a copy, and had a circulation of approximately 3,000 copies. English means, Morning Sun Newspaper. It is now one of five national newspapers of JAPAN. During the 1930's, Asahi had an air fleet of 120 aircraft. This DH88 is just a representation of any one of their aircraft used to deliver product to Japan, China, Manchuria and Singapore.

VH-UKK - Vegemite Company - Headquarters in Port Melbourne, Victoria, AUSTRALIA. Vegemite was invented in 1922. Following a nationwide competition with a prize of £50 (2010:$3,527) to find a name for the new spread, the name "Vegemite" was selected out of a hat by Fred Walker's daughter, Sheilah. Vegemite first appeared on the market in 1923 with advertising emphasizing the value of Vegemite to children's health.

In December 1934 the same aircraft, now named Reine Astrid left from Brussels to Leopoldville in the Congo carrying the Christmas mail."

During the tests at the RAF at Martlesham it twice suffered a collapsed undercarriage. After the first collapse it was fitted with enlarged air intakes.
